Frequently Asked Questions
What is Expressive Arts Therapy?
The emphasis in Expressive Arts Therapy is not on the art itself, but on the journey of self-exploration and the resulting integrated wellness. Human beings have been using expressive arts as potent healing modalities since ancient times (Malchiodi, 2020). Whether through painting, sculpting, music, dance, or any other form of creative expression, individuals can achieve profound healing and transformation on their journey toward wellness.
Do I need to be an artist/creative to do this work?
Not at all! These approaches are designed to meet individuals wherever they are on their journey. You don’t need to consider yourself an artist to benefit from these techniques and therapies. Whether you’re exploring these modalities for personal growth, self-expression, or healing, the focus is on the process of exploration and self-discovery, rather than artistic skill. Most importantly, they provide a safe and supportive space for you to engage with your emotions, thoughts, and experiences, regardless of your background or perceived level of creativity.
What is Neuro-Leadership Coaching?
Neuro-Leadership Coaching provides a pathway to unlocking hidden potential within individuals and teams alike. By understanding the intricate workings of all three brains (gut, heart, and mind), clients are empowered to discover their own solutions to challenges at hand, rather than blindly following directives.
Through results-based coaching, individuals discover their inherent potential, enabling them to strive for excellence. For teams, this approach enhances performance, while leaders acquire the tools they need to perform at their highest level.
What is Change Management?
In today’s professional landscape, change is pretty much inevitable. Unfortunately, changes such as technology deployments or process implementations often fail when too much emphasis is placed on the technical aspects of the change, while completely neglecting the human element. For change to be successful, organizations need to prioritize the people side of change, ensuring that every individual not only accepts but also embraces and adopts the change.
The ADKAR change management model is designed to facilitate an individual’s transition from a current state to a desired future state. By addressing the Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, and Reinforcement needed for change, this model paves the way for successful outcomes. Recognizing that organizational change hinges on individual change, the ADKAR model helps organizations navigate the complexities of change by addressing any obstacles or resistance along the way.
How is Coaching Different from Therapy?
Coaching and therapy serve distinct purposes: coaching primarily focuses on setting and achieving specific goals in one’s personal or professional life though a future-oriented, action-driven approach, while therapy often concentrates on addressing mental health issues and emotional difficulties by exploring past experiences and patterns.
Coaching tends to be shorter-term and goal-oriented, often utilizing techniques such as goal-setting and accountability, whereas therapy can be short-term or long-term and may involve various therapeutic approaches to address underlying psychological issues.
Additionally, coaches often come from diverse backgrounds and industries, while therapists usually hold advanced degrees in psychology or related fields and are license to provide mental health treatment.
As a coach, I often complement therapists, guiding clients (not patients) who may have worked through deeper issues in a therapeutic framework and are searching for pragmatic ways forward – ‘what’s next.’

What does a consultant do?
A consultant provides expert advice and objective insights to individuals, businesses, or organizations and helps them solve problems, drive change, and achieve goals. What is a creative coach and consultant?
Creativity and Intuition are links in a chain of our basic human DNA, when we connect into those parts of ourselves, we unlock discovery, innovation and newfound joy. You might seek to engage in creative exploration to explore your inner landscape or opportunities in the ‘virtual realm.’ Alternately, you be in need of guidance in a ‘physical realm,’ by stepping into an actual space of your choice (office, home, etc.) and addressing any challenges or stagnation standing between you and the completion of a specific project or goal. Through methods rooted in creative expression and art, we collaborate to drive change and achieve your desired outcome.
What type of results can I expect to achieve?
I believe in the power of collaboration. Whatever you bring to the table, whatever willingness you show to work with, that’s what we can expect to achieve together. No challenge is too big or too small to overcome, and every challenge has a solution just waiting to be discovered.
As your guide, I’m here not to do things for you but to walk alongside you, offering support and insight every step of the way. My role is to assist you in bringing your ideas and aspirations to fruition, providing a solid foundation for you to build upon and instilling confidence, comfort, and self-belief within you. Together, we can create meaningful change in your life, but ultimately, it is your actions and determination that will drive that transformation.
